• Jersey O35s ready to contest for final place

    After coming through their quarter-final match against Boston Spa on penalty strokes, Rathbones Jersey Over 35s are preparing to take on Harleston Magpies this Sunday in the semi-final of the England Hockey Masters Trophy. Victory would take the team to their third consecutive final at Lee Valley stadium.

  • Rathbones Jersey Hockey Boys U16s Continue Their Campaign In The English National Hockey Championships

    Following their successful Regional League performances last month, which saw the boys qualify for the next round, the squad sets off to the UK for Sunday’s Tier 2 Regionals. This stage is just one step away from taking part in the National Hockey Finals at Lee Valley in the Olympic Park over a weekend in April.

    The team has been working hard since qualifying and whilst Sunday will offer some tough challenges, the boys and coaches are looking forward to testing themselves against the best young players from the West of England region.

    This Sunday, Rathbones Jersey O35s welcome Boston Spa hockey club (Leeds) for their quarter final match in the England Hockey Masters Trophy. Boston Spa have not played in the competition since early December due to a bye in the last round and jersey hope that this will give them an advantage following their strong performance against Yate HC only a few weeks ago.   • Jersey lose on sudden death strokes in England Hockey Trophy

    Rathbones Jersey missed out on progressing to the next round of the England Hockey Trophy following an agonising defeat at the hands of Kingsbridge & Salcombe HC on Saturday. Goals from Aleisha Duffy and Kerry Rogers helped Jersey fight back from a goal behind twice to draw 2-2 after normal time, before losing on sudden death in the shootout.
