Over 50s prepare to take on Reading
Rathbones Jersey Over 50s are preparing for their quarter-final clash with Reading HC in the England Hockey Master's Cup this weekend. The match starts at 1pm at Les Quennevais Sports Centre.
Squad: Stuart Gower (captain), Rob Hurry, Peter Taylor, Murray Gilson, Conrad Evans, Ed Daubeney, Jan Collins, Adrian Heelis, Arran Eagar, Mark Bailey, Paul Duckworth (gk), Dom Pallot, Paul Le Bihan, Tobi Mathews, Steve Ritzema. Manager: Simon Watling.
Captain Stuart Gower is looking forward to a home tie; “We are in for a tough match against past title holders Reading who also boast a number of ex GB internationals and current England Masters in their squad. However, Jersey have an experienced squad with a number of newcomers to the age group and will be looking to take full advantage of the home tie.”
